Description
The goal of the Annual “Compassion 5K” run is to raise money to help ease the financial burden of local families that are currently living with a major health crisis, many of which are life threatening. With the help of the Sertoma of St. Augustine, many local businesses and community volunteers, the “Compassion 5K” is able to help these families manage their crises during their greatest time of need.
The mission of the Sertoma of St. Augustine has always been to provide “Service To Mankind” and continue to be a beacon of hope for local community members in need.
Course
The course of the “Compassion 5K” is an “out-and-back” style course with rolling changes in topography that will both begin and end on Shore Blvd and Santa Maria Blvd in the St. Augustine Shores neighborhood. The entire course is run on a hard-surface, asphalt road. The course has hills and curves, so be prepared for a challenging, yet exhilarating 5K run!
